Travelling Tips for Croatia

The Croatian tourist season begins in April and ends in September.  If you were planning on traveling to Croatia then it's important to know that July and August and the most expensive months to visit. Temperatures during these months can get up to about 26° centigrade.  The advantage of traveling to Croatia at this time is that boat/bus/train timetables arrack their most frequent.

Electricity: Croatia uses the standard European 2 pin plug.

Tips and bargaining: A service charge is automatically added to a bill in Croatia.  Prices in stores are fixed. If you are traveling on an excursion then it's important to note that the guide expects to be tipped.

Toilets: Toilets are usually very clean and well stocked.  In places like shopping centers and train stations you may have to to pay a nominal fee.
